The wildlife you can see from the boat
Each animal below is one we plan trips around, and each is watched either from the water or from the shoreline at low tide.

Gray whales
Feeding in the sound and seen from both covered and open Zodiac boats, so you can choose the view you prefer.

Humpback whales
Surfacing and diving through the sound, with the guide keeping a respectful distance throughout.

Orcas
Passing through the sound often enough to be a real hope, though we cannot promise a sighting on any given trip.

Black bears
Foraging along the inlet shorelines as the tide drops, watched from the boat at a respectful distance.
